Also known as Shvelisi as this variety was collected in 1985 in the village of Shvelisi in the Southern Republic of Georgia.  Pronounced "Chess Nook"; a highly productive variety and capable of producing exceptionally large bulbs.  Our tasting shows a nice garlic flavor, somewhat earthy, with a little afterbite. We love this variety.
